The 10 mile walk from the abandoned coke ovens, Douglas Falls, junctions of North Fork Blackwater River and the main river, across from Lindy Point, down the canyon through mixed hardwood forest. The average walking time is approximately four hours. 10 miles in length, the trail is easy and very rural – once you have started there is no way out. Elevation changes are approximately 1,290 feet. The use of hiking boots or cross-country walking shoes is recommended. Some trail sections are wet and/or rough (rocks, roots).

• $15 for adults
• $10 for children (6-12)
Pre-registration is recommended, you may register Friday 12:30 pm – 10 pm in the Beech Club, Canaan Valley Resort Main Lodge.
