SUMMARY:High-elevation Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join volunteer Herb along Wilderness Way on a guided bird walk to see some of the birds that live in high-elevation areas! No birding experience required—we can even provide binoculars! \nThis walk will be around two miles along gravel road and native material trail with slight elevation increases. Group will be meeting at the visitor center at 7:30am if you wish to carpool to the destination! \nHerb is a retired physician and volunteer at Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. He took up birding as a hobby when he turned 60 and now has a North American life list of 605 birds! \nThis event may be canceled or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Please stay tuned to the refuge website and Facebook page for updates to this event.\nAddress: The Wilderness Way parking area is located 1.5 miles up Forest Road 80.
