Book NowTubing and Sledding
For more snowy excitement, take a ride down a powdery hill — groomed for maximum enjoyment and speed — on a sled or inner tube. Tucker County is one of the few winter destinations that offers both sledding and inner tubing, each providing a unique thrill. Canaan Valley Resort’s multi-lane tube park is one of the largest in the Mid-Atlantic, and the sled run at Blackwater Falls State Park is the longest on the East Coast. Both feature magic carpet lifts to whisk riders uphill, sparing them from tiring treks. If gliding on ice is more your style, head to Canaan Valley’s covered rink to sharpen your skills and perfect your figure-eights. And when it’s time for a break, sip hot chocolate and warm up by outdoor fire pits!
