With the wind down of summer upon us, it is time to save green while seeing the last of the green canopy that Tucker County is known for.

Tucker already has an edge on getting outside and seeing our wild and wonderful landscape from one end of the county to the other.  This time of year, the feeling of having entire lush mountain sides full of green flora all to yourself is a reality.  This opportunity only lasts a few weeks as autumn begins, and leaf peeper’s drive up the cost and crowds to one of the best shows on earth.  Fall color.

Revenge of the Rattlesnake

Mountain bikers come to Davis, WV September 15 for the adventure race of the year, the Revenge of the Rattlesnake. This backcountry mountain bike race is renowned for its grueling terrain, technical obstacles, and the sheer willpower required to complete it. All the hard work pays off in the end with an end-of-race party featuring pizza from Siriannis and beer from Stumptown Ales!

Brew With a View

Join Timberline Mountain for the second annual Brew With a View August 31 – September 1. This craft beer festival at invites you to meet the faces behind your favorite local breweries, learn about their brewing processes and sample their latest & greatest! Enjoy your drinks, live music, and scenic chairlift rides to the summit of Timberline Mountain!

Leaf Peeper’s Festival

Celebrate the beginning of fall and perfect weather with our annual Leaf Peeper’s Festival September 27 – 29 in Davis, West Virginia.  What makes this annual festival unique is the Run For It 5k run and 3K walk for charity and indoor/outdoor craft show.

Enjoy custom craft shows where you will find one-of-a-kind handmade items from the kitchen to the car.  You never know what’s in store as the talent is top-notch.  Food vendors set up throughout the festival area with a variety of flavors certain to make the entire family happy.  Sunday’s car show rounds out the full weekend of fun in Davis.
