Introducing winter adventure has never been easier or more fun.  Pick a tubing lane, any one of twelve, at Canaan Valley Resort.  For an entirely different experience head to Blackwater Falls State Park Sled Run where you control the steering of a traditional sled that can fit up to two adults or three children.  Both are fan favorites and should be on your bucket list.

We love the month of February and so should you!  Our most significant natural snow falls abundantly during this month.  Giving skiers and snowboards at Timberline Mountain and Canaan Resort one last shot at nature’s finest gift.    One of the most famous personalities in West Virgina is the founder and Energizer ski-bunny of White Grass Cross Country Ski Area.  The product is so good at White Grass that they are recognized in 2023 as USA Today’s third best cross-country ski resort in North America. Try snowshoeing to Bald Knob or cozy up to hot homemade soup in the lodge as a great ski alternative.  Keep an eye out for several upcoming events as winter comes to a close.  This year’s annual Cardboard and Duct Tape Sled Race at Blackwater Falls State Park will feature a fun filled theme of “The 70”s”.  Canaan Resort welcomes Subaru Winterfest Weekend and Sunrise Scramble.   If you love to downhill ski race, then the 63rd Governors Cup Ski Race is Just up your alley.
