66th Governor’s Cup Ski Race

March 7@8:00 am-March 8@5:00 pm

Join us at Timberline Mountain on March 7th and 8th for a family fun-filled weekend, as well as two days of competitive ski racing. 2026 is the 66th anniversary of the West Virginia’s Governors Cup Ski Race, which happens to be the southeast’s oldest running ski race!

Ski racing at its finest sees two days of racing at Timberline Mountain. The Giant Slalom course is set for Saturday, and Slalom is set for Sunday; each racer will have 2 runs for each course.  The combined times after 2 days of races will provide the men’s and women’s overall winners.  The overall winners will be awarded a WV-made glass trophy, and their names engraved on the Governor’s Cup Trophy. This event is open to anyone who would like to participate. Same as last year, the Snowboarders Category will be on Saturday only for the Giant Slalom. There will be NO Telemark Category.
