Spring Spirit Is Here

It won’t be long until the first buds of the year appear.  In the meantime we dream and plan.  As a true four season destination, spring alone is a highlight.

Families love Tucker County because we do family right.  The reason is simple, lodging and opportunity.   No matter the size family or space needed for reunions, there is a roof big enough for you.  No matter the age there is plenty to do for a multi-day visit.  The outdoors is our golden egg, but the small-town charm and mountain culture will defy your expectations.

Early Spring Events

Do not put those skis and snowboards away yet!  The 63^rd annual Governors Cup Ski Race is March 11^th and 12^th.  With over $15,000 in prize winnings, the competition is sure to be fierce for 2023.

The Canaan Valley Half-Marathon, 10K, and 5K returns to Canaan Valley Resort April 23^rd – 24^th.   Two days of varying events is the perfect way to get ready for running season.

Spring would not be the same at Blackwater Falls State Park without the annual Wildflower Pilgrimage.  Sign up soon as space is limited.

Support your local volunteer fire department at the Parsons VFD Cheat River Triathlon.  Go solo or team up for the adventure event of the year.
